Mention a musical instrument like the panpipes – and most people with just a little interest in music will think of Zamfir. Gheorghe Zamfir, born in 1941 near Bucharest in Rumania, has for almost four decades not only been one of the most popular, but also one of the most active when it comes to performing and recording albums. During recent years, Zamfir has gained quite an audience in Denmark owing to a couple of very outstanding albums. On “The Feeling of Romance” he collected a large number of his most emotional hits. The album “The Feeling of Christmas” includes wonderful tracks of the best known Christmas classics like “White Christmas” and “Silent Night”.
